AI Assistant Disclaimer and Acceptable Use

AI-Generated Responses

Our app includes an AI assistant that uses automated technology to generate responses based on user input. These responses are generated without human review and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate.

Important: The responses are based on educational content uploaded by the school, app administrators, or other authorized personnel — including class materials, board-specific content, subject notes, and textbooks. Accuracy depends on the quality and completeness of this content.

User Responsibility

Users are responsible for how they interact with the AI assistant. You agree not to use the assistant to:

  • Generate or request harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Promote misinformation or illegal activities

  • Harass, threaten, or target individuals or groups

Reporting Inappropriate Content

If you receive a response from the AI assistant that you find offensive, inappropriate, misleading, or otherwise problematic, you can report it through the app’s "Report" feature or contact us at [your support email].
We take these reports seriously and will review and take appropriate action, including updating content or disabling access in case of repeated misuse.

Limitation of Liability

The AI assistant is provided "as-is" and should not be relied upon for professional, legal, medical, or emergency advice. We are not responsible for any consequences resulting from inaccurate, outdated, or misinterpreted content, especially where the uploaded material is incomplete or incorrect.

Edubotix AI Solutions Pvt Ltd (“Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information in the Edubotix Parent & Student App ("App"). Our app supports supervised use by children under age 13, including ages 6–8, in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play’s Families Policy.

Who Uses Our App

This app is intended for:

  • School administrators
  • Parents and guardians

  • Teachers
  • Students (under school or parental supervision)

Children under the age of 13 (including under 6) may use the app only under verified parental, guardian, or school supervision.

Information We Collect

We do not collect personal data directly from children. All user profiles are created and managed by school authorities or parents.

A. Information Provided by Adults

We may collect:

  • Student name, class, section, roll number
  • Parent or guardian email/phone

  • School name and ID

These details are added by school admins or parents, never directly by children.

B. Automatically Collected Information

We may collect:

  • Device type and OS version
  • IP address

  • Usage logs (navigation, clicks)
  • Crash reports

C. AI Assistant Chat Data

We may collect:

  • Subject selected
  • Questions asked

  • Generated AI responses
  • Timestamps

No profiling, advertising, or AI training occurs using this data.

Use of Information

We use the information to:

  • Provide student-specific educational tools
  • Show class schedules, marks, events, etc.

  • Enable subject-specific AI assistant replies

  • Let verified users manage their data (e.g., view/delete chats)

AI Assistant Use & Limitations

Our in-app AI Assistant is designed to help students only with subject-related educational content:

  • Responses are automatically generated without human review
  • The assistant will not respond to off-topic, inappropriate, or sensitive queries

  • AI usage is monitored and tied to specific subjects (e.g., English, Math)
  • It cannot provide professional, legal, or medical advice

⚠️ The AI feature must be used responsibly. Misuse (e.g., offensive queries) may result in feature restrictions.

Children’s Privacy

We comply with COPPA and the Google Play Families Policy.

  • We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13  without verified consent
  • All student accounts must be created by a verified school administrator or Authorized Staff

  • Children cannot register, upload data, or submit identifiable content on their own
  • No behavioral advertising or location tracking is used

  • Inappropriate or unsafe content is strictly prohibited

Chat History Management

Verified users (school or parent) can:

  • View and manage the student’s AI Assistant history
  • Delete specific messages or full conversations

All deleted data is purged from our system within 30 days.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent any data.

  • With school authorities for academic operations
  • With service providers like Firebase (data is secured and anonymized)

  • With legal authorities if legally required
  • With your consent for support or troubleshooting

Cookies and Analytics

We use tools like Firebase Analytics to:

  • Understand user behavior (navigation, clicks)
  • Detect crashes

  • Monitor performance
